Print and dye details
A very densely woven polyester base fabric which has been printed via a dye sublimation method. Paper is printed with the design in mirror image mode and then transferred onto the fabric via a heat press which applies heat at between 180 to 190c and pressure for up to 1 minute to transfer the design from the paper onto the fabric.
This is the most common method of putting imagery onto polyester fabrics; the printed paper after the transfer has happened is often used as florist wrapping paper.
There is almost no penetration of the printed design from the front of the fabric through to the back because of the density of the fabric and the transfer method used to apply the design.
5 colour print, 2 red, 2 pink, and black
