Dye recipe
Disperse dyes via transfer printing.
50 g disperse dye colour powder dissolved in 1000ml hot/boiling water.
Make sure that all of the dyestuff is fully dissolved.
This dissolved powder can then applied to a paper substrate in design form by painting by hand.
Allow this to dry thoroughly and then pass through a heat transfer press at 180 – 200C for 30 – 60 seconds.
This type of application of disperse dyes to fabric is one of the most common methods used for digital advertising. Nearly all of the outside fabric hoardings currently used today throughout the world is produced by a transfer method.
